هدفت الدراسة إلى بيان ظاهرة الإيحاء وعمق المعنى التي اتسم بها شعر يوسف مصطفى التني، وما يكمن وراءها من فلسفة خاصة به في نظرته للحياة، ومدى عمق هذه النظرة وما يرتبط بها من انعكاس لثقافته وسعة اطلاعه. وكذلك قدرة التني على إبراز تلك المعاني العميقة التي يولدها من رحم المحسوسات والصور. اتبع الباحثان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتوصلا بعد البحث والدراسة إلى نتائج عدة، أهمها: عمق نظرة التني وقدرته الفائقة على توليد المعاني، وذلك بعدم الاكتفاء بمظاهر الأشياء وتجاوزها إلى جوهرها. اتخاذ الحسيات رموزا لمعان أكثر رسوخا وأبقى على الأيام، والتعرض لأسرار الحياة من خلاها. تميز شعر التني بنزعة فلسفية خاصة، تلخص سعة اطلاعه المثمر على ضروب المعارف والآداب. السمو بالجمال والحب إلى منزلة ترقي بالنفس إلى العلياء؛ لتستشرف جمال الوجود كله
