Overview
The Monetary and Loan Law (90-10) is the legal framework that reflects the transition to a market economy in Algeria, especially in its monetary aspect, but this law has undergone several amendments that have shaped the legislative framework for monetary policy in Algeria, and therefore this study aims to highlight the extent to which this study aims to highlight the extent of This legislation is in line with the challenges that the Algerian economy experienced during the period 2001- 2018. This study concluded that the legal framework of monetary policy in Algeria largely accompanied the transformations of the national economy during this period, but the failure to apply all the measures contained in these legal provisions would have a negative impact on the effectiveness of monetary policy in Algeria, especially on Medium and long term.
