Overview
تنبع أهمية الدراسة من انفراد التجربة العمانية والسياسة الخارجية للسلطنة عن باقي دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربي، وهو ما سيظهر الجوانب التي تميز السلطنة كعنصر مختلف، حيث تتسم سياستها بالحياد، وانعدام الطموح السيادي رغم امتلاكها للمقومات التي تمكنها من ذلك، مثل الموقع الاستراتيجي، والقوة الاقتصادية والعسكرية. وخلص البحث إلى أن سياسة عمان قائمة على إقامة علاقات سلمية وتعاونية مع كل دول العالم؛ بهدف الحفاظ على سيادتها من أي تدخل دولي، مع حرصها على المحافظة على موقعها الاستراتيجي.
