كتاب المستطرف في كل فن مستظرف من الكتب الموسوعية المهمة لمؤلفه شهاب الدين الأبشيهي، المولود في مصر سنة ٧٨٩ هـ وتوفي سنة 851 ه وهو كتاب ممتع ومفيد، ويضم مختلف العلوم كاللغة، الشعر، النثر، التاريخ، النوادر، وأحتوى على أربعة وثمانين بابا، تتخلل الأبيات الشعرية جميع الأبواب من حيث الاستشهاد، وهدف البحث هو جرد إحصائي إلى الأبيات الشعرية ثم تصنيفها حسب الأغراض كالمديح، الهجاء، الرثاء، الوصف، الغزل، الزهد، وحسب الأنواع كالموشح، الزجل، والدوبيت ثم إجراء دراسة تحليليه وفنية.
