طرح المقال موضوع بعنوان أفاميا حاضرة سورية القديمة. دعاها القائد سلوقس نيكاتور أفاميا بهذا الاسم حبًا بالأميرة الفارسية (أياميا) التي تزوجها وبنيت عام (300) ق.م. ذكر المؤرخ الأثري عبد الرزاق زقزوق أن أفاميا تعد من أهم المراكز السياسية والتجارية والعسكرية فكانت في العصور الوسطى مركزًا عسكريًا هامًا وحاول الصليبيون احتلالها وحاول التتار السيطرة عليها. تضم أفاميا كل الوسائل والمميزات التي تؤهلها لأن تكون في عداد المدن الهامة والمتقدمة في مجال البناء والفن. واختتم المقال (بالتأكيد على أن مدينة أفاميا المعاصرة تنهض من أعماق الأرض، بالإشارة إلى مسرح أفاميا الذي يعد واحدًا من أكبر المسارح التي وصلت إلينا من العهد الروماني). كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل المنظومة 2022
