Overview
مسرح الطفل هو مسرح يخدم الطفولة سواء أقام به الكبار أم الصغار ما دام الهدف هو إمتاع الطفل والترفيه عنه وإثارة معارفه ووجدانه وحسه وحركته، أو يقصد به تشخيص الطفل لأدوار تمثيلية ولعبية ومواقف درامية للتواصل مع الكبار أو الصغار. لقد كانت المجاميع المسرحية موظفة بخدمة الصور التكوينية للمشهد المسرحي، فقد كانت الوظيفة المعطاة للمجاميع ترتقي بالعرض المسرحي من حيث بناء الأحداث لتصل إلى الذروة، ولم تكن مشاهد المجاميع في العروض المسرحية الحديثة وحسب، بل امتدت جذورها إلى المسرحية اليونانية القديمة إذ كانت المجاميع تشكل محوراً أساسياً في بناء المسرحية.
