Overview
يعنى هذا البحث بدراسة وتحليل نقش عربي جنوبي قديم، دون باللهجة القتبانية على لوحة جنائزية من المرمر، يعود تاريخه إلى ما بين القرن الثاني قبل الميلاد والأول الميلادي، عثر عليه بموقع حيد بن عقيل في تمنع عاصمة مملكة قتبان. تم نقل معنى النقش إلى اللغة العربية الفصحى، ودراسة مفرداته دراسة اشتقاقية، ومقارنتها بمثيلاتها في النقوش العربية القديمة، واللغات السامية الأخرى، الموروث العربي.
