Overview
إن الانتهاكات التي تعرض وما زال يتعرض لها المتظاهرين أمرا مؤسف، ولذلك لجأت الدول ومن اجل القضاء على هذه الانتهاكات بإبرام اتفاقيات دولية تنص بصورة صريحة أو غير صريحة بوجوب حماية المتظاهرين، ووجد المجتمع الدولي آليات جديدة وفعالة تساهم في حمايتهم كنظام الشكاوى بموجب البروتوكول الإضافي الأول الملحق بالعهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية، فضلا عن إرغام الدول ولجوء هذه الدول بإراداتها الحرة في إدماج الاتفاقيات الدولية الخاصة بحقوق الإنسان والتي تنص على حماية المتظاهرين في نظامها القانوني الوطني.
