يتناول هذا البحث الحديث عن نوع من أنواع الطيب وهو \"العنبر\" ويبين أصل هذه المادة، إنها تستخرج من حوت العنبر الذي يعيش في المحيطات، وبين البحث أن قيمته المادية عالية، قد تصل إلى أكثر من مائة ألف ريال للكيلو جرام الواحد، وإنه يوجد ملقى على الشواطئ التي يكون فيه حوت العنبر، كما بين البحث بعض استعمالاته الطبية. ومن الأحكام التي تناولها البحث؛ حكم العنبر من حيث طهارته ونجاسته، وحكم التطيب به، وما هو الواجب فيه لمن وجده، وحكم لقطته، وحكم السلم فيه، وحكم إجارته للشم، وحكم الشركة فيه، فيه، وحكم أكله.
