Overview
يتناول هذا البحث تسليط الضوء على شخصية أميرة كارولنجية، ساهمت بعمل أدبي وتربوي، خلد ذكراها على مدار السنين، أرادت من وراء هذا العمل التربوي تنشئة وتربية أبنائها وفقا لقواعد التربية النبيلة، لكن الغريب في الأمر أنها كتبت هذا العمل دون وجود أبنائها من حولها، فقد ساهمت الظروف السياسية المحيطة بعائلتها أن يبتعد أبنائها عنها. وهذا العمل هو عبارة عن رسالة مطولة في شكل نصائح، ووصايا روحية ودنيوية، أرسلتها دودا إلى ابنها الأكبر، بهدف التربية السليمة وتوجيه النصح والإرشاد الديني له. وتدور فكرة البحث في عدة محاور رئيسية، هي التعريف بدودا، والحديث عن نشأتها، وعلاقتها بالبلاط الكارولنجي، ثم يتناول الظروف السياسية المحيطة بها أثناء كتابة عملها، كما يتناول عمل دودا، ومنهجيته، وما يحويه، ثم المصادر التي اعتمدت عليها دودا في كتابة عملها، كما يستعرض كيفية انتقال النص الأصلي لهذا العمل حتى وصل بين أيدينا.
