Overview
اعتمد في 12/12/2015 اتفاق باريس لتحديد أهداف السياسة المناخية الجديدة، ولم يكن النظام الجديد يبحث فقط على فاعلية جهود التخفيف، وإنما في إمكانية تكوين إرادة شاملة مستدامة للتخفيف من الآثار المناخية الخطيرة وإقامة أسس نظام مناخي دولي جديد مرن لجميع الأطراف، يحاول التوفيق بين مصالحهم ومتطلبات تغير المناخ في المستقبل لما بعد 2020. أما فيما يتعلق بالمساهمة الفعلية للاتفاق في مكافحة التغيرات المناخية، فإن الأمر سيكون مرتبطا بالجهود التي ستبذلها كل دولة لتحقيق الأهداف المحددة في النص، فهو سابقة تاريخية مهمة لكن غير كافية، لأن تطبيقه يتضمن العديد من التحديات فهو ليس في مستوى رهانات تغير المناخ.
