Overview
بدأت الحرب العراقية الإيرانية عام 1980 كانت القوات العراقية في بداية الحرب متفوقة في القتال لكن منذ عام 1982 م تفوقت إيران على العراق ثم استمرت الحرب ودخلت مرحلة حرب الناقلات ثم حرب المدن عام 1984 التي استمرت حتى عام 1986 بعد ذلك بدأت حرب الاستنزاف عام 1987 واستمرت حتى عام 1988 إذ استعاد العراق زمام المبادرة وتحول من الدفاع إلى الهجوم.
