يتناول هذا البحث دراسة نقش نذري للإله إلمقه معبود سبأ الرئيس لم يسبق نثره من قبل، حيث تم دراسة النقش وتحليله، ونقل معناه إلى اللغة العربية الفصحى، ودراسة مفرداته، ومقارنتها مع مثيلاتها في اللغات السامية الأخرى. ينتمي هذا النقش إلى مجموعة النقوش النذرية التي عثر عليها في محرم بلقيس، وقد أهدى صاحبه للمعبود إلمقه تمثالا من البرونز كان قد نذره ووعده به، من أجل أن يمنحه النعمة والحظ السعيد الصادق وسلامة بدنه، ويمنحه حظوة ورضا سيديه إل شرح يحضب وأخيه يأزل بين ملكي سبأ وذي ريدان ابني فارع ينهب ملك سبأ، واختتم النقش بالتضرع في صيغة دعاء باسم المعبود إلمقه.
