يهدف هذا البحث إلى رصد مفهوم للشعر وفق المذهب الرومانسي، حيث أخذت واحدًا من أبرز شعراء ونقاد هذا المذهب، ألا وهو الشاعر الإنجليزي وردزورث، الذي يعد بحق أعظم شاعر وناقد في ذلك العصر. وجدنا الشاعر يركز في تحديده لمفهوم الشعر على المشاعر والانفعالات المشتركة، فالشعر عنده تعبير عن الأحاسيس بلغة سهلة وواضحة مفهومة لجميع أنواع القراء.
