Overview
The article is critical study within the framework of the comparative method. It is an attempt to clarify the linguistic, verbal and practical meaning of the words \"hajj, ibadah, hijra, zakat/ zakat, voodoo, khutba, azan\" in association with the rites of worship in Russian in comparison with Arabic language. It emphasizes their role in the Russian lexicon and its interaction with the rest of other foreign words in the Russian language on the material of the National Corpus of the Russian Language.
