حاولت هذه الدراسة كشف سمات المعالجة السينمائية الأمريكية لظاهرة الإرهاب، وتأثير تلك المعالجة على تشكيل صورة نمطية عن العرب والمسلمين، من خلال تطبيق المنهج السيميولوجي في تحليل الفيلم السينمائي الأمريكي \"سقوط لندن\" (London Has Fallen) باعتباره عينة من الأفلام السينمائية الأمريكية التي تناولت ظاهرة الإرهاب. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة السيميولوجية، أن العرب والمسلمين قد تم تصويرهم بعدة صفات سلبية، من بينها: الإرهاب، الهمجية، التخلف، والحقد على الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
