يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة وتحليل المضامين السياسية في أشعار حلمي سالم. فهذا الشاعر يعتبر أحد أبرز المتنورين والنقاد العرب في مصر حاليا، والذي يقدم في أشعاره صورة معبرة عن واقع الشعب العربي ولا سيما مصر. في هذا البحث من خلال الاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي قمنا بدراسة أشعاره السياسية. يستخلص من البحث أن قضايا الحرية والوطن ومكافحة الاستعمار والاستبداد والشهادة من أبرز مضامين الشاعر. دراسة المضامين السياسية والاجتماعية لدي الشاعر تشكل مرآة تعكس الوضع العربي الراهن
