تلجأ البنوك والمؤسسات المالية وشركات الاعتماد الإيجاري إلى استغلال التأمين في مجال منح التمويل لشراء العقارات التي تطلب المشاريع الاقتصادية تمويل شرائها أو بنائها بصيغة الاعتماد الإيجاري، ويرجع ذلك إلى أهمية هذا النوع من الضمانات وما يوفره من حماية ضد المخاطر التي تتعرض لها المؤسسات الممولة نتيجة ممارستها لهذا النشاط.
