في هذه الدراسة، تم تحظير مضاداة أكسدة باستخدام تفاعل (ثايول-اين)، حيث تم إضافة اوكتان ودوديكان الثايول إلى الستايرين والذي تم إنتاجه من المخلفات البلاستيكية بنسبة (١:١) مول بدرجة حرارة الغرفة للحصول مركبات مضاد الأكسدة التالية : اوكتايل - ٢- فينايل ايثايل سلفين ودوديكايل - ٢ - فينايل ايثايل سلفين على التوالي. أوكتان ودوديكان الثايول يتم إضافتهم أيضا إلى مركب بارا بنزو كوينون للحصول على مركبات مضاد الأكسدة التالية: ٢- اوكتايل ثايو بنزين - ١,٤ - دايول و ٢ - دوديكايل ثايو بنزين - ١,٤ - دايول على التوالي. مركبات مضادا الأكسدة التي تم تحضيرها يتم إضافتهم إلى زيوت التتزييت مثل، زيوت المكائن والهيدروليك مع الزيت الأساس الذي يعمل كمذيب ثم يتم مزجهم جيدا. يتم تشخيص مركبات مضاد الأكسدة التي تم تحضيرها باستخدام تقنيات الأشعة تحت الحمراء ومطيافية الرنين النووي المغناطيسي ومطيافية الكتلة ويتم دراسة كفاءتها باستخدام تقنية الأشعة تحت الحمراء وتقنية الفولتامتري الحلقي.
