Overview
There are many known Methods to construct new models. Among these methods, mixture distributions are useful in fitting data generated by a complex process. Also, inverted distributions are useful in modeling data representing a variable that is inherently the reciprocal of a known variable. In this paper, A new lifetime model based on mixing the Nadarajah-Haghighi with the inverted Nadarajah-Haghighi distribution is defined. Two cases are considered, one is when the mixing proportions are not related to parameter values and the other is when they depend on parameter values. Some important properties of the proposed model are discussed. The model parameters are estimated by the method of maximum likelihood. A simulation study is carried out to illustrate the properties of the maximum likelihood estimation. Finally, two methods of mixing are applied to real data sets.
