عرض المقال الحالي مسار الانتخابات التركية. مبينًا نجاح المعارضة التركية بالاتفاق على ترشيح قائد حزب الشعب الجمهوري كمال كليجدار أوغلو لمنافسة الرئيس أردوغان في الانتخابات المقررة في (14 مايو 2023). فقد تآكلت شعبية أردوغان، قبل كارثة الزلزال، بسبب ارتفاع تكاليف المعيشة وتراجع قيمة الليرة. كما أوضحت المعارضة انه في حال نجحت فإنها تتعهد بالتراجع عن كثير من سياسات أردوغان في الاقتصاد والحقوق المدنية والشؤون الخارجية. وعقب إعلان المعارضة لسياساتها، ارتفعت أسهم الشركات التركية وسندات يوروبوند على حد سواء وسط تزايد آمال المستثمرين في أن يتمكن المرشح المشترك من التغلب على أردوغان والعودة لتطبيق سياسات نقدية تقليدية بعد سنوات من الاضطرابات. مختتمًا بالإشارة إلى أن الانتخابات لن تقرر فقط من يقود البلاد، ولكنها ستقرر أيضًا كيف تحكم البلاد وإلى أين يتجه اقتصادها. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل المنظومة 2023
