قدم المقال هدى شعراوي وإعادة قراءة التاريخ. أصدرت هدى شعراوي كتاب الهلال، التي أدت فيه رأيها الصريح عن بعض القادة والساسة، كتبت عن أبيها سلطان باشا، الذي صور لنا انه خائن الثورة العرابية، تقدم لنا صورة أبيها من خلال معاصرين، كانوا يرون سلطان صوت العقل الذي لم ينتبه له عرابي ويأخذ به، مثلت هدى، المرأة المصرية فوصلت إلى أن انتخبت نائبة لرئيسة الاتحاد النسائي الدولي بأغلبية (148) صوت من (166) صوتا. واختتم المقال بالتركيز على رأي هدى في الحياة، فهي لم تكن تضع المرأة الغربية أمام عينها لتقلدها المرأة الشرقية تقليدا أعمى في كل شيء، ولكنها كانت تريد الاستقلالية والعدالة والانطلاق للحياة العملية كالمرأة الغربية. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2024
