هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الوقوف على واقع جريمة الانتحار في المجتمع الأردني من منظور اجتماعي من عام 2016-2020 من خلال التعرف إلى النظريات الاجتماعية المفسرة للانتحار، وتحديد العوامل المؤدية إلى تنامي هذه الجريمة وازدياد نسبتها في المجتمع الأردني باستخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي بالرجوع إلى التقارير الإحصائية الجنائية الصادرة عن إدارة المعلومات الجنائية في مديرية الأمن العام، إضافة إلى تحليل ما جاء في الكتب والدراسات المتخصصة المتعلقة بموضوع الدراسة.
