هدفت الدراسة التعرف مشكلة البطالة لدى خريجي الجامعات العراقية وتأثير العوامل الصحية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية عليها، وعلاقة البطالة بالمتغيرات الاجتماعية فيها وتناول البحث ثلاث متغيرات اجتماعية هي: المساندة الاجتماعية، التنشئة الاجتماعية، التوجهات القيمية الاجتماعية، وتبين لهذه العوامل تأثير على البطالة من الناحية الاجتماعية.
