تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن الصور البيانية في قصيدة الأزهر لأمير الشعراء أحمد شوقي وكيف تنوعت هذه الصور بين تشبيه واستعارة ومجاز مرسل وكناية كما تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن دور هذه الصور البيانية في تجلية المعنى وإيصاله إلى ذهن السامع كما كشفت الدراسة عن المقدرة الفائقة لشوقي في توظيف هذه الصور في سياقاتها المختلفة وبيان كيف أبدع شوقي في تصوير الأزهر كبناء شامخ وتصوير علمائه وبيان هيبتهم ومكانتهم في نفوس الناس.
