هدفت الدراسة إلى البحث عن مقياس للقلق من الزواج في ظل انتشار عدة عوامل كارتفاع معدلات الطلاق، وارتفاع سن الزواج وغيرها، ولتحقيق الهدف كان استطلاع لآراء 56 فردا ومن بعد التأكد من صدقها وثباتها اعتمدت وطبقت على 70 فردا من بلدتي في الجنوب اللبناني تراوحت أعمارهم بين 18 و 40 سنة. وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى تمتع المقياس بصورته النهائية بدرجة عالية من الصدق والثبات وكذلك الاتساق الداخلي للفقرات والمقياس ككل إذ بلغ معامل ألفاكرومباخ 0.89.
