Overview
This research paper examines the effect of inflation on juristic rulings. In order to identify the effects of inflation, it is first necessary to determine its causes, magnitude and predictability. One of the most important effects of inflation in relation to juristic rulings is the extent of its impact on zakat payment and whether it is permissible to pay it in cash rather than in kind. The paper also covers the effect of inflation on debt repayment and related zakat.
