من علماء الشافعية الإمام الجليل، المعروف بسلطان العلماء (ت ٦٦٠ هـ)، وله مؤلفات كثيرة مثل كتاب (التفسير الشهير لابن العز، وقواعد الأحكام في مصالح الأنام)، وفي هذا البحث المتواضع تناولت فيه مسألة مهمة في عصرنا فكان بعنوان: (العز بن عبد السلام رحمه الله (٦٦٠ هـ) ورأيه في حكم القاضي بعلمه. وفيه مبحثان: المبحث الأول: التعريف بالإمام العز بن عبد السلام رحمه الله. المبحث الثاني: مسألة حكم القاضي بعلمه. ثم خاتمة الباحث، والمصادر والمراجع.
