Un traducteur, s'il est tenu de mettre un texte littéraire devant une nouvelle façade de réception, qui peut être bien différente du champ initial de sa production, c'est que ce texte - qui porte en lui un (ou des) discours - est devant un tourniquet d'enjeux quant à la signifiance, la stylistique, l'esthétique, la poétique etc. Oscillant entre sens et forme, un traducteur ne se rapproche jamais davantage de la véritable parole de l'auteur que par l'épreuve, éminemment critique, de la traduction. Le « Trop-dire » pourrait-il n'être que tendance déformante selon la critique bermanienne ? L'évaluation de la traduction littéraire pourrait-elle échapper à la subjectivité du critique ? Enfin et surtout; est-ce-que la littéralité en traduction est à même de garantir la littérarité d'une oeuvre?
