Overview
The present study is an attempt to investigate the phenomenon of negative transfer in some selected English-into-Arabic translated texts. The study identifies the different types of interference with suggested correct alternatives. The study has come with the conclusion that lexical errors are the dominant type found in the sample of the study. Collocational errors, in turn, are the most common errors within lexical errors.
