فحصت هذه الدراسة مسألة تحيز وانتقائية العدالة الدولية، وذلك من خلال المقارنة بين معايير الدول الغربية المزدوجة تجاه العدوان الإسرائيلي الذي أعقب عملية طوفان الأقصى يوم 7 تشرين الأول/ أكتوبر 2023 من جهة والحرب الروسية على أوكرانيا التي بدأت يوم 24 شباط/ فبراير 2022 من جهة ثانية. كما تحاول كذلك كشف الجهود الغربية لتوظيف مبادئ القانون الدولي لفرض تكاليف سياسية مدمرة على روسيا، ردا على تحركاتها في أوكرانيا، مقابل تغييب وتعطيل هذه المبادئ في الحالة الإسرائيلية في غزة.
