近代日本から生まれた芥川龍之介の短編小説

Overview
本研究は近代の小説家、芥川龍之介とその文学を対象にしている。 先行研究によると芥川の多くの作品では、孤独、エゴイズム、葛藤 など人間の複雑な心を克明に描写されているとわかった。注目され るのは、彼の作品のスタイルとモチーフは時代や社会の変化と共に 変化していくということである。そのため、芥川が生きた環境を明 らかにし、年代を考察しながら、芥川の作品は生涯と時代背景から どんな影響を受けていたか論じる。 芥川の多くの作品では、共通点は、登場人物の心理変化が見られる 一方、相違点は心理変化の傾向である。登場人物の心理の変化は芥 川の心理の変化を表している。年代を追って考察しながら、人間心 理の描き方は初期の作品から晩年の作品は変わり、モチーフも異な っていくとわかる。これは、彼が子供のころから生きた環境および 、混乱した社会・時代で人生を送ったためだと言える。そ の作品における心理変化は登場人物の心の中にある葛藤によるもの として見られる。すなわち、この心理変化は近代日本人の心理的な 葛藤と悩みを描写している。
