سلط المقال الضوء على كتاب (هوس القراءة). صدر هذا الكتاب عن المؤلف والقارئ الأمريكي جو كوينن، كان هذا الكاتب مصابًا بهوس القراءة حتى أنه لم يكن لدية وقت أو دقيقة لا يقرأ فيها، وأنه كلما قرأ واستفاد ازداد شغفًا لدرجة أنه لم يحصل على رخصة قيادة للسيارة إلا بعد سن الخمسين، ذلك لأنه يستطيع أن يركب القطار أو الباص وفي يده كتاب، بينما لا يستطيع ذلك وهو يقود سيارة. واختتم المقال بالقول بأن كوينن نظر إلى القراءة على الآيباد والطرق الإلكترونية ليست قراءة حقيقية وإنما يمكن اعتبارها اضطرارية، فالقارئ المتمرس ينفر منها، لأنه كان يعتبر الكتب أفرادا من أهله وأسرته. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2024
