تسعى الدراسة إلى تحديد حجم مساهمة أدوات التحوط المالي في استقرار السياسة النقدية في البرازيل، من خلال تحديد الأدوات المالية التي يستخدمها البنك المركزي البرازيلي لتحقيق هذا الهدف، وتستخدم الدراسة المنهج الاستنباطي مستخدما الأسلوب التحليلي للقوائم المالية للبنك المركزي البرازيلي، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن البنك المركزي نجح في استخدام أدوات التحوط في تحقيق استقرار السياسة النقدية بشكل كبير.
