Overview
ثمة علاقة وطيدة بين الشعر والتاريخ، إذ واكب الشعر العربي الأحداث التاريخية مواكبة تامة وذلك عبر تصوير الشعراء لهذه الحوادث، وبدأ الشعر بتسجيل الحوادث التاريخية على شكل قصائد قصيرة، ما لبث أن تطورت وطالت إلى قصائد طويلة. إذ توفرت في هذه القصائد الأخبار الأدبية ومثلها التاريخية الممزوجة بعنصر الخيال للترويح والتسلية للمتلقي. إذ جمعت هذه الأخبار بين الصدق الواقعي والصدق الفني.
