يعد هذا العمل بمثابة المقدمة التأسيسية لقضية الدور الوظيفي للذكر والأنثى، وهي ذات بعد اجتماعي عميق حرصت العقيدة الإسلامية على العناية به، بله سائر الأديان. فكان موضوعه الرئيس: ما الأسس الفلسفية للدور الوظيفي للجنسين؟ وقد قسمته إلى تمهيد، وثلاثة مباحث رئيسة بحسب الأسس الفلسفية لهذا البناء. وكان من أهم النتائج التي خلصت إليها: أن الدور الوظيفي للجنسين يرتكز فلسفيا -من الناحية المعرفية- على الماهية الإنسانية ذاتها، وأهم التوصيات: ضرورة اهتمام أقسام العقيدة بالأبحاث الميدانية والتاريخية والتجريبية في هذا النوع من الدراسات.
