Overview
تظل مناورات الأسد الأفريقي من بين أهم التمارين العسكرية على المستوى القاري والدولي، باعتبارها تمرين سنوي تنظمه القوات العسكرية الأمريكية بتعاون مع نظيرتها المغربية على أراضي وأجواء المملكة المغربية. تعد أحد الفرص السانحة لتعزيز التعاون الأمني العسكري بين المغرب والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، كما تعتبر بوابة نحو استتباب الأمن على المستوى القاري، باعتبار المغرب حليف استراتيجي للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وأحد أهم الزبائن لسوق أسلحتها، هذه الأخيرة التي تعتبر سيف ذو حدين فمن جهة تأتي على شاكلة إعانات ومقتنيات للدول الإفريقية من أجل حماية أمنها ومن جهة أخرى تساهم هذه الأسلحة والمساعدات العسكرية من زيادة حدة التوترات والصراعات على المستوى القاري.
