Overview
القيادة السياسية هي قدرة وبراعة وفاعلية القائد السياسي في تحقيق أهداف المجتمع واختيار أفضل الوسائل المناسبة لذلك من خلال التعاون مع النخب السياسية الموجودة في المجتمع. والقائد السياسي يتأثر بعوامل موضوعية وشخصية تؤثر في صنعه للسياسة الخارجية، فكان صدام حسين نظرا لطرق نشأته وظروف صباه كان شديد العنف يميل إليه وكان هو المتحكم في السياسة الخارجية العراقية، كما أن سماته الشخصية التي تكونت لديه في طفولته من عدم الأمن وعدم التهاون كانت سببا في خوض حروبه ضد إيران والكويت.
