Overview
تحاول هذه الدراسة أن تقف عند الشاعر العربي في العصر الجاهلي الذي كان منشغل البال لفهم سر الحياة وأسى الموت. فكانت الطقوس والعبادات القديمة ملجأ الإنسان، لعله يجد فيها ملاذه أولا، والتعبير عنها ثانيا، والإبداع الفني بأشكاله المتنوعة ثالثاً. ويقف البحث عند الشعر العربي في العصر الجاهلي بغية فهم بحثه الدائم في جوانب الحياة الغامضة عنده والتي كان الإنسان يختبئ من ورائها، أو يلوذ خلفها من أجل فهم الحياة وكشف سر الموت، فهل تحقق للإنسان العربي في هذه الفترة ذات مرة أن يقهر الموت؟ وينتصر في صراعه على الطبيعة للحياة؟ أم أن أسطورة الحياة الدائمة فوق الأرض كما يراها تبقى أسطورة؟ وأن الكل فان وقبض الريح.
