تقوم هذه الدراسة على إبراز قيمة الأصوات والكلمات والصيغ في اللغة ومدى إفادة هذه الكلمات لرموز معينة يستعين بها المجتمع على تلبية حاجاته واللغة تقوم بهذا الدور والكلمات يضبطها إيقاع وجودها وتناغم الإيقاع الخطي مع الوزن السطري للحروف الخطية وطرائق وجودها لسبب أن الإيقاع الخطي يشكل واحدًا من أبرز عناصر التكوين والوزن السطري تبعًا لتذبذب أو استقامة أو انحراف أو التواء أو انكسار سمك الخط أو رقته وتباعده. لهذا كله كانت الدراسة عن دلالات الإيقاع الخطي التي يُعرف بها الخط العربي وتميزه عن سائر الخطوط.
