جاءت هذه الدراسة لتسلط الضوء على أبرز معالم نصيحة العلماء فيما بينهم عند سلفنا الصالح، وذلك بتوضيح مشروعية نصيحة العلماء، وبيان أبرز آداب نصيحة العلماء، واستقصاء أبرز محددات العلاقة بين الناصح والمنصوح. وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن: النصيحة دعامة من دعامات الإسلام لا يستغني عنها أحد وتجب على كل أحد. وأن لنصيحة العلماء فيما بينهم آداب، منها: احترام رأيه وإن كان مخالفا لاجتهادك، الرفق بالمنصوح، السر وعدم قصد التحقير، التثبت. وأن بين الناصح والمنصوح علاقة إسلامية تحددها الأسس التالية: خلاف الرأي لا يستوجب المنافرة، حسن الظن وسلامة الصدر، الإنصاف، النصيحة بين كبار أهل العلم لا تجوز لمبتدئي طلب العلم الخوض في أحدهما.
