خلصت الدراسة إلى إلقاء الضوء على الحياة السياسية في العصر الإيلخاني من خلال عرض موجز السلاطين الدولة الإيلخانية منذ أباقا خان وحتى نهاية حكم السلطان أبي سعيد بهادر خان ومن بعده ثمانية من السلاطين الإيلخانيين الضعفاء من خلال هذه النقاط. - أصل ملوك الدولة الإيلخانية. - قيام الدولة الإيلخانية. - الإلخانيون منذ أباقا خان إلى بايدو خان. - الإيلخانات منذ ولاية غازان، الذي لُقب بالسلطان محمود غازان خان، ومن جاء بعده (٦٩٤هـ - ٧٠٣هـ). - انهيار الدولة الإيلخانية. كما رصدت الدراسة الحياة الأدبية في ذلك العصر، وبينت ما وصلت إليه حركة الأدب.
