随着互联网的普及与发展，网络流行语的发展更是日新月异，其种类繁多、层出不穷，可以说已经融入了日常社会生活语言中。21世纪网络流行语在各种媒介中的传播速度飞速发展，成为特殊语言变体，承载着独特的文化内涵，反映了特定时期的社会形态和大众心理。网络流行语的特点以及如何翻译网络流行语以准确传达语义，引起语言学家和译者的思考与重视。 网络流行语与我们日常学习的语言不同，前者是运用于网络的特殊语言形式，它是狭义上的与网络有关的习惯用语以及具有特殊形式或特定含义的用语及语符。网络流行语的迅速传播，使其成受大众欢迎的语言表达方式。对于这一新兴语言的出现引起众多研究者的关注。特别是网络流行语的翻译，更是汉语爱好者和汉语研究者不可逃避的话题。时下，随着网络的蓬勃发展，网络，文化也是层出不穷，尤其是网络流行语。本研究针对这一点，分析前人的翻译旨在总结出当下网络流行语翻译的策略。下面作者将对中文网络流行语的基本构词法、特征和分类入手，着重分析网络流行语的翻译方法，通过对中文网络流行语特征的分析，结合翻译实例，从修辞、语音、造词三个层面来探讨中文网络流行语的构建，在此基础上分析归纳了其翻译策略和技巧。
