Overview
This study aims to highlight the role of environmental electronic media in the fight against forest fires in Algeria by describing and analyzing a sample of posts from the Facebook page of the General Directorate of Forests from July 1 to 31, 2023. This fight is carried out through awareness campaigns and initiatives that promote an environmental culture involving all individuals in the responsibility of protecting vegetation cover, considering trees as vital elements for ensuring safety, security, and the provision of clean air. The study also reveals the tactics used by environmental media to leverage new communication channels in processes aimed at rationalizing and correcting inappropriate behaviors that harm both the environment and human beings.
