Overview
One of the linguists asserts in one of his statements: «We do not find it written with 'Shaddah'» Neither does he retract nor reject this assumption, yet he records it confidently as a linguistic truth. Such declarations may influence researchers to base their arguments on them without verifying their validity.. This study investigates some of these claims, aiming to test their authenticity and accuracy using Lisan al-Arab by Ibn Manzur as a reference, in conjunction with observations made by linguists who sought to confirm the accuracy of such linguistic phenomena. The research focuses on analyzing these statements and verifying the evidence cited by linguists in support of them. The findings indicate that some statements are built on fragile evidence and that linguistic truths, as perceived by some, may lack robust scientific and historical grounding. The study uses the descriptive methodology, occasionally makes use of the historical methodology to track ancient evidence and substantiate findings.
