تعد اللغة الأداة التي تستخدم في بناء العمل الفني الأدبي، ومن خلالها يعبر الكاتب عن أصدق العواطف، وأرق الأحاسيس بكلمات مناسبة بعيدا عن التكلف والزخرفة. وبما أن الرواية نظام لغوي أدبي، يعكس ثقافة الروائي الذي أنتجها وأبدعها تأتي هذه الدراسة لتتناول اللغة في رواية (الجسد الراحل) لأسماء الزرعوني، من خلال الوقوف على اشتغال اللغة الروائية، ودراسة ومعرفة أهم النظريات النقدية في مجال اللغة، وتطبيقها على رواية (الجسد الراحل) مستهدفة لغة السرد ولغة الحوار.
