تعتبر التحريرات ركيزة من ركائز علم القراءات والتحريرات قائمة على دراسة الروايات وسند هذه الروايات والكلمات القرآنية واستعمالها ونسبتها إلى القراء والرواة. وقد مرت التحريرات بعدة مراحل حتى أصبحت علما قائما بذاته وقد بلغ هذا العلم ذروته مع ابن الجزري رحمه الله الذي يعتبر شيخ المحققين، وذلك بكتابة النشر في القراءات العشر ومنظمته طيبة النشر. والعلماء بعد ابن الجزري هم عيال عليه فهم إما شارحون لكتابه أو محققين لروايات التي جمعها في كتابه النشر في القراءات العشر. ومن أهم العلماء الذين اعتنوا بالتحريرات بعد ابن الجزري وقد أجمع علماء القراءات على تحريراتهم المنصوري والأزميري والمتولي.
