Overview
Muslims constitute the world's second-largest group after Christianity, reaching approximately 2 billion followers. This number has been increasing so fast in recent years because of many converts who chose Islam as their religion. The present research paper examines the experiences and true stories of some Western converts to Islam through a TV program called' My Journey to Islam', broadcast on the Al-Hiwar TV channel by Dr. Azzam Tamimi. The program is an initiative to promote peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding among nations in a world that is sinking in bloody wars, racism, and intolerance. Henceforth, the present study aims to explore and shed light on the experiences and true stories of three Westerners who converted to Islam. The first is a writer and a former member of the Dutch parliament, Joram van Klavaren, and two other women, Emily Toone from Manchester and Asma Claassen from the Netherlands. These converts hold positive views and attitudes about the Islamic world and aspire for a better understanding and coexistence between the Muslim and Western worlds.
