Overview
In this research, we dealt with the legislative regulation of consumer protection from arbitrary conditions, where we dealt with the means of this protection in accordance with the general rules contained in the Civil Code as well as in accordance with the special rules contained in the Consumer Protection Law. We have ended up supporting the position of the UAE legislator when he stipulated in the Consumer Protection Law many conditions that he decided were arbitrary and considered invalid, which in this is consistent with the position of the French legislator, while the Egyptian legislator was satisfied with the application of the general rules and did not come with an inventory or examples of those conditions, which opens the door to different provisions about the nature of any of the conditions according to the assessment of the court that considers the dispute, and for this we call on the Egyptian legislator to develop a list that includes Arbitrary conditions in order to achieve better protection for the consumer.
