لقد دون أبناء القبائل العربية آلاف النقوش والكتابات على الصخور والحجارة في مناطق واسعة من شمالي الجزيرة العربية، وبادية الشام، وغيرهما من المناطق، ولولا معرفتهم وإلمامهم بهذه الخطوط لما تسنى لهم كتابتها. نحاول في هذا البحث تلمس بعض الطرق والوسائل والتي ربما سلكتها تلك القبائل في تعلم أبنائها الخط والكتابة، والتي لم يرجح لغاية الآن أي منها.
